It has come. You should know what it is.

Hey, guys, Vampi here.

Seems like the staff at Poptropica have turned into Nintendo in a slight way. Just like the NX was the code name for the Nintendo Switch, New Pop is the code name for… POPTROPICA WORLDS?!?

Yes, it is what you think it is. Here’s what Skinny Moon has said about Pop Worlds on the Creators’ Blog.

Get ready for…
– New, exciting Worlds to explore
– Favorites from the original Poptropica, remastered for Poptropica Worlds
– One account for everything Poptropica!
– Your very own customizable home (remember this poll?)
– More costumes than ever
– Daily prizes and awesome games
– And more to come…

And if that confuses you on what happened, here’s some questions asked and answered during Skinny Moon’s Discord pop-in yesterday, with who asked as part of the question:

Tall Cactus: Are worlds islands?

SM: Yes, worlds = islands.

Makes sense to me.

Shaky Skunk: Will we be able to transfer our old stuff (including looks)?

SM: Yes, the plan is for your avatar and all your old stuff to port over!

I had asked this on Twitter, and I’m thankful for this.

idk (resident tech geek and glitcher): Games in Unity can also be ported to video game consoles. Any plans for that? (For those who don’t know, the game is using game engine Unity to play.)

SM: Great question. I don’t know of any plans for consoles, but hey. Who knows?

I mean, Roblox has an Xbox One port, plus there’s also Poptropica games for the DS and 3DS, so it is possible.

Short Feather: Will it only be available on certain devices, or will it be accessible to all?

SM: Poptropica Worlds will be available on web and mobile devices.

That’s a relief.

Magic Panda: How different will the art style be? Will there be more shading, bigger/smaller characters, etc.?

SM: From what I know so far, the art style will still be very “Poptropica” – but remastered, updated, better than ever!

Ooh, different art style. Interesting.

Anyway, that’s it for now. I’ve got stuff I’m doing. I’ll have more news soon, along with my personal opinions and reactions on the news. Keep poppin’ it!
