Poptropica Has Talent…

…and it’s just what I need.

Hey guys, Vampi here.

Scrolling though the PHB like I do on a bi-daily basis, I see another MPIP. (For those who don’t follow the PHB, it stands for My Place In Poptropica; Pop community members telling the stories of how they found Poptropica, how they found the PHB, and more.) This MPIP was made by a girl named Marci, who calls herself the Queen of Libraries. (‘Like the Queen of Hearts character from Alice in Wonderland, but with libraries’, she says.) She says at the end what she goes by on Discord, then she says “I can’t promise I’ll be on much, though. I might also try to find some time to blog, if anyone would care enough to invite me to write on one.”

So I get out of the post to read another one, and I just freeze.

“…might also try to find some time to blog, if anyone would care enough to invite me to write on one.”

I’m the only author on this blog, and I only post once or twice weekly.

The moral of the story? I’m gonna need some help.

Therefore, I’m accepting any authoring submissions, whether new or experienced, to help make this as big as possible. To request to be an author, just fill out this Google Form.

In other news, happy Halloween! Comment below what you’re going as/went as for Halloween, if you even went.*

Keep popping it!

*Contrary to not-so-popular belief, I’m not going as a vampire. If you want to know, your only hint is ‘wielder of the elucidator and the dark repulsor, donning the cloak of midnight’.

Halloween Wallpaper

Hey, guys.

Today, I head to my school’s gaming club, ignoring the fact that I have tutorials to go to. (I can do it tomorrow, Mom.) I play a bit of FNAF World (some guy let me have it), then switch to Halo Online (the school plays it, got it from some guy’s flash drive), then rage quit on that and get on Poptropica, making a separate tab for WordPress.

I look at the Creator’s Blog and see a new post. And you may think it’s important, right? NOPE. Here’s what it is:poptropica2bhalloween2bwallpaperApparently, they decided to make a Halloween Wallpaper for Poptropica. But the thing is, Skinny Moon also added a challenge.

Do you know which Island this is from and where you can find it? I bet you longtime Poptropicans know!

I know exactly which island it’s from and where you can find it, but no way in heck I’m telling you.

In other news, I’ve been listening to a whole bunch of music from the Geometry Dash and Geometry Dash: Meltdown soundtrack. The current final level song of Geometry Dash and all the Meltdown tracks. Look them up if you want to.

That’s all for now. Keep poppin’ it!

Insert Martin Garrix reference here, Diamond Talk Show, and Exotic Butters

NOTE: I lied about the exotic butters.

Hey, guys, Vampi here.

So I was scrolling through the Poptropica website yesterday and saw that the creator’s blog hadn’t posted anything new. (It was still the Halloween post at the time.) I decide, hey, why not go to the literal Creator’s Blog home site? So I click the link, and JUST AS THE SITE LOADS FOR ME, I see the post you see below.

Here’s what it’s about:

You’ve been asking for them, Poptropicans, and now they’re here! Introducing: pet followers!

Starting now, you can get your own furry little dog or cat follower (three different types of each)! Will you pick a loyal Lab or a happy mutt? A fuzzy gray kitty or a calico cutie? So many choices!

Pets aren’t the only awesome new thing in the store. There are creeptastic Halloween costumes and fun accessories, plus some cool fall outfits. Bog monsters, werewolves, and potions — oh my!

Some of these amazing items are available to everyone and range from 250-350 credits. Some, like the pet followers, are for members. Don’t have Poptropica membership? Find out how you can get it.

I’m probably going to go through all the islands again, because IT’S TIME TO GO SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!!

…yeah, note to self, don’t do that.

In other non-Poptropica-related news, my buddy Diamond Glaze from the Rekt Clan (a clan I lead) runs a YouTube channel with a talk show every Saturday at 10:00 Pacific Time (timezone converter here if needed) with a variety of topics, ranging from memes to exposing this one channel me, Diamond, and friends raided, to this upcoming talk show’s Diamond VS TheVlogging Bros (the channel we exposed). Join into the viewing of The Diamond Talk Show for fun, laughs, chicken nuggets, and outright craziness with Diamond Glaze, Vampi, AndyOfIron, Mellora, noiceguy, and many more!

Other than that, there’s nothing else really to talk about. Keep poppin’ it, and I’ll see you guys next time!

PoptroPodcast Updates, NEW POP REVEAL, and A Poptropica story?

Hey guys, Vampi here.

(Should I change my intro? I think it’s kinda boring, but I’m going with the consumer demand.)

Anyway, there’s been a lot of stuff happening the past week or so, and I should probably update you guys on that.

First things first, I completed the PoptroPodcast logo, and I’m working on getting a way to record my iPhone because I’m using the Discord iPhone app to do the podcast. (Shout out to my YouTube buddy Moedesu for help on that! If you decide to check out his videos, tell him DJVampiGamer sent you!)

Next thing: THECREATORSRELEASEDANUPDATEONNEWPOPPRODUCTIONOHMYGODSTOPTHEPRESSES. If you didn’t catch that, the creators released a sneak peek of Poptropica production, which has to do with… a monster worm. All I’m gonna say is my buddy Tall Cactus was NOT impressed, though the animation process that they talked about does seem pretty tedious.

And finally, fellow Poptropican Shaky Skunk announced on her blog, the Poptropica Skunk Blog, about her new project: Project: Publish Poptropica. She noted:

“Some of you may be aware that Poptropica has a few books based on its islands. Unfortunately, these books weren’t very popular, and only a minority of the forgotten islands were turned into books. Nowadays, they only make comics of the same old MotM cast.

Well, I’m going to change that by writing a short illustrated novel for every island!”

She also added to the post:

Anyone is allowed to write their own story, with or without illustrations. If you’d like to contribute, send us your manuscript and/or illustrations, and I’ll do all the editing. Your book will then be published a few days or weeks later.

So, with that, I volunteered as tribute to write the one for Zomberry, since I play a lot of zombie games on my Xbox and on my computer all the time. (ahem, black ops 3 zombies, achoo, earn to die, cough) So you can expect by Halloween I’ll have it all finished on my Wattpad profile, @DJVampiGamer, and also sent in to Shaky too.

And finally, I’m gonna be changing Trusty’s costume to something Halloween related, since I need to do that anyway.

That’s all I have for now. Keep poppin’ it!

EDIT: Finally got a tiny little blog logo thingy! Really just Trusty’s face lol

Coming to a school-issued iPad near you!

Hey guys, Vampi here.

To be honest, I hate school… but I like the school-issued iPads we got. It’/ crap that the only apps we can get are all educational

But anyway, Poptropica did an art contest (that I never posted about, sorry) and they recently posted the finalists on the Creator’s Blog. I would post the pictures, but… as I said, I’m on an iPad. I can’t get them without the school blocking me. I don’t even know how I’m able to access WordPress. Here’s the Creator’s Blog post if you wanna see them.

In other news, Pop is celebrating Halloween early by opening the Halloween photo booth again (spooooooOOOOOoooooky) and there are new costumes in store at the store. Wait, did I say store twice? AW F—

Finally, I’m just wanting to say that I’m just about always active on the Poptropica Help Chat as D.Vampi (a clever combination I came up with, a hybrid of D.Va from Overwatch and myself, Vampi.), and if I’m not on, I’m either at school or doing something different, but if you just mention me in private chat (if it asks for username and a number, it’s D.Vampi#0148), I’ll most likely answer.

That’s all my news for now. Keep poppin’ it!

– Vampi

Hey, guys, Vampi here.

So as usual, Trusty’s waking up from his slumber as I log back in yet again, and Trusty’s bored, so he decides, “Hey, I guess I could talk to all the NPCs on Home Island.” Trusty walks over to the guy in front of the store.

But plot twist, and spoiler alert: he has something new to say.

After the almighty controller of all things Trusty Bear (aka me, Vampi) clicked on the guy by the store, he says, “I love Halloween! I can’t wait to see what new costumes they’ll get in the store next week!”

Next week… New costumes…

(The above picture is the main reason why I love Google Images.)

Or, if you insist, you can continue, but from what I saw, I say I’m holding the thought of doing it. (Besides, I’m making DJ mixes on GarageBand and attempting to find a way to convert them into YouTube videos. DJVampi is turning into a real DJ. XD )

Anyway, while I still have the chance to mention it, there are other news that are of importance:

  • On Home Island, if you look at the NPCs outside, Amelia has a different outfit than usual, DJ Saturday Nite has a skin tone and hair color change, and the New You lady has a different hair color too. Guess it’s time for me to dye my hair like I always wanted to.
  • There are 8 items cards (4 for each Poptropican gender) for Poptropica’s Fall Fashion card series. Reviews say… they suck. Better luck next attempt, Fall Fashion. Keep up with the times.
  • The PoptroPodcast logo is almost finished. Just gotta add some stuff and it’ll be put in the next post.
  • Finally, over on the Poptropica Help Blog, Popcorn Issue #32 is out! For those who don’t know what Popcorn is, keep up with the times  Popcorn is the PHB’s fan magazine, with a featured Poptropican on the front cover (this issue is PHB author Lucky Joker), some fan stories (which are pretty good, in my opinion), some artwork (which is REALLY good), and usually a Fansite Spotlight (this issue is the People of Poptropica blog (run by White Ice (who made the header for the blog, I don’t know how many times I’ve thanked her already), Lucky Joker (author in both the PHB AND People of Poptropica? He’s got skills.), Shaky Skunk (who doesn’t actually smell bad), Friendly Foot (a good buddy on the PHC), and mysterymanred (who I don’t think has ever posted).)

Anyway, that’s it for now. Keep poppin’ it!
